My best friend and I had decided to retreat to one of our favorite destinations, Tofino, on Vancouver Island—the place where we grew up. We spent our mornings walking along the peaceful beaches, where the rhythm of the waves makes a connection inevitable. This island isn’t just home; it’s a part of us. The ocean, the mist, the endless tide—it all pulls us back, reminding us where we belong.
